Pin-apple Pincushion

For those of you interested in making pincushions, check out The Pincushion Challenge. Every month they will have a new theme to be inspired by. May's theme is "fruit". The site has lots of ideas to get your juices flowing!

I took a stab at combining wet felting and needle felting to create my pinny pineapple. After I completed the main fruit shape, I stitched the diagonal lines with embroidery floss. I snipped a little divot in the top for the leaves, which are cut out of wool felt. I used a dab of craft glue to attach.

I found this tutorial on needle felting very helpful. This is another great tutorial
