Boo to you...

I have to admit, I've been working so hard on the projects for my book, I've had little time to create and post non-book projects. I've resorted to showing you some plushies I made for my son a while back. Since it is close to Halloween, I thought the timing was right for you to meet the furry little monsters...

The big brown hairy...uh, molar-looking guy is Six Eyed Sam. Basically, my 4 year old "designed" him and I was merely the seamstress. He had specific details in mind and I followed his directions precisely! Same with Batty and the little blue guy. The red guy is actually some kind of Pokemon. Not my best work, but they are well loved and therefore my most important work. At least to MY little monster.

Next week I hope to have a tutorial up for the "cutie pies" posted below. There...now I've said it. I must follow through!

I love the softies. Isn't it great fun to make things for our kids and to see them enjoy them. Sprout's not old enough to suggest, yet. But soon enough I'll be following her instructions, I'm sure.

Hey look who I found, my cousin is a fellow blogger! I just found your site today and adore your stuff, especially the cupcake pin cushions and cutie pies. I had no idea you had become such an entrepreneur. Congratulations on your book deal. I am going to have to start going to the lake to catch up on all the family gossip.

six eye sam is great - you obviously have an imaginative budding designer there.

Hi Betz! Your collaboration with your kids is just wonderful! I love how the lovedisc turned out. You've inspired me to make a few more with my kids (or at least help, Emma actually cut the pieces and made the lovedisc on my blog.) Something else to do for summer!
