shazam!

This just came from Amazon...my copy of Designer Needle Felting!
This looks like a great resource (race horse? Oh no, not again) for beginners to get a handle on needle felting techniques as well as an intro into other kinds of felting.

I think this stained glass pincushion by Sandie O'Neill is gorgeous.

This Autumn Leaves Runner is by Pat Sparks, who is basically a felting goddess. I mean, really. If you want to know anything about felting, click on her name. I was so happy to see her work in this book!
Here's a scarf (and hat) I contributed called, "Chili Today, Hot Tamale". I constructed the scarf out of recycled cashmere sweaters then needle felted the flames on top. The smoldering fringe is actually curly mohair locks needle felted along the edge. Watch out, it's on fiyah! I wanted to model the scarf for you so you could see how it looks on, but in Maryland today the weather is not remotely "chili"...definitely hot today, tamale, and all next week. I ended up shooting it outside on the adirondack. Whoa...in this light it looks a little SHAZAM! I'll wait a bit until the weather gets colder to model it for you. In the meantime, I'm excited to finally see some of my work in a book!
