my favorites...new and old

New: Santa socks from Target. I know, they look a little "house-fell-on-the-wicked-witch" paired these shoes, but I couldn't resist trying them on together. :) A little Dr. Seussy, too.

Old: This is a great sweater my grandmother knit for my dad when he was a kid. There is a part across the middle where she added length after he outgrew it! Now that's refashioning at it's best.

New: kid-made cookies for breakfast. (what...)
Old:
The Santa mug tradition. This one is only a few years old, but I sure loved the santa mugs of my childhood. Especially the winking one.

New: A fresh bloom on the amaryllis

New: sticky Christmas kid crafts

New: this years ornament, brought back from Russia by my mom. Look, she's got yarn!

I'm totally jealous of your amaryllis (sp?). I started one, but I think I looked at it wrong or something, because it decided NOT to grow. At least I got a cute red pot out of the deal.

Funny, the first thought I have of the stockings was that they reminded me more of CindyLou Who's mom.
Too cute!

Love the socks! I may have to head down to Target to pick some up for myself. We always have brunch at my parents for breakfast and I think I'd look super cute with these babies on.

I have to admit my first thought was of Witchy-poo, lol. I love using Christmas mugs! I've got a handmade snowman mug in use at the moment.
