Happy New Year!

Last night we did what my husband and I always do on New Years Eve. Sit on the couch and watch bad New Years Eve TV. Of course, we had to click through the channels to find Dick Clark, because otherwise, it just wouldn't be right. I did note that it felt better to me this year to be on the east coast and in sync with the ball drop in Times Square. (We were previously in the Central time zone in Wisconsin, an hour earlier. I never got used to that) No champagne at midnight, just a bowl of raisin bran, a typical late night snack at our house. We are fancy like that. First class all the way.

Ok, enough of my boring little start to 2008...who the heck won the cupcakes???? Well, if you won them, you should know, because I emailed the 3 winners this morning. Congrats to Cory, Laura, and Eleanor! Of course the bad news is that the rest of you lost. But let me say this to you dear sweet hopeful people (all 400 of you!)...may the losing of this contest be the worst thing that happens to you all year.

There, all taken care of. You are good to go...have a fabulous 2008!

(I just want to thank each of you for entering the contest and for your amazing comments and well wishes about the book. It was truly heart warming to read such thoughtful and encouraging things. You guys are the best!)

I am sad that I didn't win, but elated that the postlady finally came through and delivered your book yesterday. What a great way to spend New Year's - TV on mute and thumbing through your great book. (I promise I got no Dorito stains on the pages.) Wishing you a bright and shiny year full of happiness, creativity, fun, and dreams fulfilled. Thank you for brightening my day. Cheers.

You need to class up your midnight snacks and at least grab a bowl of Lucky Charms. They are still as good as I remember them!

Happy new year, Betz! We love our cereal over here, too. In the morning I find bowls on the kitchen counter from my husband and sons. They eat long after I go to bed!
Congrats to your lucky winners! Now we can all just make our own cupcakes with your book so no one is really a loser.

What lucky ladies! I can't seem to win anything. Darn. But that's OK it just means that I need to get busy and make one (or two or three) myself. Thanks for holding the contest. - Suzanne

Congrats to your winners! So sad not to win, however, I'm not feeling like a loser as I have an amazon gift cert from Christmas and guess whose Warm Fuzzies book is at the top of my list??? WooHoo!!!

Hi! just found your site -- we'll i think i've stumbled on it several times because several of the past projects look familiar... but I love your work, and since i've just started playing around with recycling old sweaters, the book looks great!

anyway, keep up the good work!

I love that your celebrated the new year with raisin bran (super-healthy start to the year)! May this year bring much joy and successes, most of all good health and happiness.
