Vacation time!...same place as last year and almost every summer of my life. (As seen here in 1967...probably the last time I was able to get away with wearing a bikini!) I have such fond memories of this place over the years. It's so nice to be able to relive them with my own kids.
all day swimming
watching dragonflies
playing shuffle board
canoeing
fishing with my brothers
digging in the sand
looking for frogs
bon fires on the beach
card games at night
...etc
Things will be a little sparse here on the blog for a spell, but I'll be back by the end of the month.

Bonnes vacances !!!
Felices vacaciones, see you soon!!!
What fun! I love old pictures and lake vacations - I hope you have a great time!!!
What a lovely thought, to have so many nice memories of the same place! Have fun!
te vamos a extrañar!!!
Hello,
I just had to say that my husband and I bought that same make, model and color boat last summer. We plan to restore the paint and fixtures back to the vintage look. It came with an old pair of wooden water ski's that we will, thank goodness, not be using. I am amazed how many people tell us that they learned how to ski behind a boat just like that. It is a fun little lake boat and I have enjoyed seeing it in all it's glory in your family picture. Thanks for sharing!
Sounds very nice! Have fun!
Enjoy your much needed vacation time ....sounds like a perfect getaway to me.
Wow, awesome photo!
What fun! I have been going to the same Wisconsin lake for 66 years, shared the fun with my children and now with my grandchildren.Five generations have been so lucky. Can't wait to go next week!
happy holiday!!!!!
i love your creation :)
That looks like a similar shot of where we visit (my husband's family tradition) every summer - along the shores of Lake Ontario. My kids love it.
Adoro tu blog...Espero tu regreso!
looks like squam--where we vacation!
Hi Feathermar,
Yes, this lake is very close to Squam! It's Crystal Lake.
Hi Anonymous,
Congrats on your boat! Do send pics when you get it restored. It's a beauty! My brothers learned to ski behind it.:)
