As promised, this week I am giving away one free spot in my online workshop! (Please check my earlier post about the workshop details) I’ve had such an overwhelming response that I needed to close registration to keep it manageable. In appreciation of your enthusiasm, I thought the least I could do was to offer a give-away, yay!
To answer one of your questions: Yes, I will do more workshops in the future. Please sign up for my email newsletter in the little white box on my website homepage to stay informed. (I promise to send out the newsletter well in advance of registration!)
To enter the Give-away:
1) Comment on this post
2) Tell me what you’d be looking for in an upcoming online workshop. I want your ideas! More recycled felting? Easter projects for next spring? Repurposing projects? Needle felting? One specific type of project? Do tell…
3) Be sure to leave your email address or make sure your comment links back to your blog, etc. If you win I need to be able to contact you!
4) Give-away will close midnight EST October 8, 2009. One winner will be randomly selected and announced here on the blog Friday, October 9th.
Good luck!
Please choose me as I just found this looking for inspiration for my wool and felt. This is a great deal! Oh, my. I am having heart palpitations. Yummy wool and felt–I love it!
I would LOVE to win a spot in your online workshop!
As I’ve just started to collect sweaters, I’d like to see more recycled felting ideas… Especially ideas that use up any leftover scraps!
Thanks again for offering a free spot!

Happy Fall Betz,
It’s snowing here in Montana already and has me thinking about felted christmas gifts for all friends and family. I would love to work with you on some new ideas, everything so far has been so much fun to make and use. Hope I win, wink, wink!!! MO
Thank you for this giveaway! I would like to see more recycled felting.
Pick me! Pick me!! I didn’t register in time and am, at this very moment, kicking myself in the tushie. (Yes, it’s difficult, but I do yoga and am flexible.) 😉
As far as future workshops, I’d say repurposing projects. Those seem to be nearest and dearest to me!
Thanks for the chance, Betz!

Yes please, I’d love a spot. I was just to late signing up. I didn’t expect the workshop to be sold out so quickly. For an upcoming workshop I’d be most interested in repurposing projects and wearable projects like scarves etc.
Thanks for this wonderful opportunity!! I would LOVE to take part in the workshop. I need all the help I can get in getting going on the Christmas gifts on my “to do” list.
As far as future workshops, I think more repurposing projects would be great!
Thanks for all the creative inspiration you provide!

I’d love to be chosen to participate.
I would really like a workshop on needle felting. It is something I have always wanted to try, but feel a little apprehensive. Anything to do with felt would be great, however.
fingers crossed…
bluekaeru{at}yahoo{dot}com
I would like a needle felting tutorial- especially if you combine it with other techniques like sewing recycled sweater felt.
Greetings,
I would love to see projects that involve needle felting. I have the supplies, but need more help with ideas that use them. I would also very much enjoy being a part of your workshop.
Thank you for all your wonderful postings.
Lela ~ [email protected]
This sounds so fun – I’d love to take part. For the future, definitely a workshop that focuses on repurposing. That speaks the most to me.
Thanks for the chance!
I would love to have some more ideas for needle felting. I’ve done a little but can’t seem to find a project to really wow me. Thanks for the opportunity to win a spot in your class.
[email protected]
I would love more holiday workshops or tutorial workshops to teach different felting skills since I know so little about it.
Thanks so much for one last chance to get into your workshop!
I love the idea of some spring and summer designs to use up my collection of pastel coloured felted jumpers. My daughter and I have been so inspired by your 1st book (felt so good in the uk) that we swarm through the local charity shops for woolies and have made birds and flowers from your book. My daughter designed her own owl pattern recently and we just can’t stop making them! Bx
Thanks for the chance to win a spot in the workshop, Betz. I was too late to sign up.
As for future projects, I love anything to do with repurposing.
Cheryl

I would love to see a felting workshop on options: multiple things to make or ways to repurpose the same (or similar) item. Fun!
Thanks for the giveaway 🙂

After I posted a question on your blog last week about the materials I went out to a thrift store and found 5 wool sweaters to felt and then came back to sign up for the workshop, but missed the cut off! Drats! I would LOVE a chance to win my way into the workshop, although I rarely win anything, but I can dream until Friday 🙂
Thanks!
p.s. my e-mail is [email protected] (incase by some rare stroke of luck I win!)
I love to learn of all kinds of upcycling. I lOVE Sewing Green and have already done several of the projects.
I also want to learn about needle felting. That looks like so much fun!
I have recently discovered the world of recycling thrift store sweaters and would love to take your workshop to turn my finds into creations! I would love more ideas on how to make wreaths and flowers embellishments.
I enjoy your blog and have your warm fuzzies book and love it! I’d love to had a workshop on repurposing items and I love holidays as well so an Easter one sounds good too!
Carla
I am always look for new quick, cute, and easy gift ideas especially for men and boys.
I wanted to register this time but was a little broke… ugh… I would love to see some wearable felt projects in future workshops.
Yes, please pick me, as I am kicking myself for not registering sooner for this. I would love to see some spring projects, and especially little animals and other nature themed projects. Oooh, I do hope I win!
Thanks
I love the concept of repurposing stuff for gifts and also for my personal use. I’ve read your blog for a year or two now, and enjoy your take on life. Needle felting is something I’ve not yet tried, but hope to someday.
Lorrie
Wow! What a wonderful giveaway!!! I was so sad to see that it had already filled.
I LOVE to create items for holidays, so any workshops based on the holidays or seasons would be wonderful.
This is so kind of you Betz! I’m glad your online workshop idea was such a big hit. I have to admit that ever since my MIL came back from one of your classes at Squam that I’ve been dreaming about being a part of one of your classes! Unfortunately, being a new mom with just my husband’s income, it’s not in the stars for now. For now I guess I’ll just have to learn all I can from your books 🙂
If you were to do more workshops in the future I’d love a re-purposing class on how to turn adult sized clothing into children’s clothing, or birthday gifts (for children or adults). I’ve been messing around with it on my own, but would love some professional pointers from you!
All the best 🙂
Well, how generous of an offer!! I would love to take your workshop!!
I would love a workshop in the future dedicated to needle felting!!
Thanks!
I would LOVE some ways to use recycled wool sweaters! Maybe something very different that is not your everyday use for them. I have lots of felted sweaters just waiting to be re-purposed now I need your expertise to teach me! Thanks for all that you share with us!
I would love to see more recycled felt projects. I want to try my hand at needle felting so I would love to see a workshop on that too.
canne811 at hotmail.com
thanks 🙂
Oh my goodness I would love this, I fully intended on signing up and work on becoming more crafty! bummer it filled up but hopefully I will get picked, hehe!!
The thing I would love is cute small gifts for everyday things!

I’m kicking myself in the tushie, too, for not signing up when I first saw your notice. Needle felting would be my choice for a workshop. Thanks for sharing your talents with us.

I have a whole storage bin of felted sweaters — so more in that area is always good. And I would absolutely love it if you could purchase a kit to go along with the workshop, so that you have all the little extras things you need at your fingertips.
Pick me!! I didn’t sign up because I’m due with my 6th child any day now, and didn’t think I’d have much time for crafting in the next month or so… but I love your blog and all of your ideas.
Future ideas: Workshops on gifts for kids/babies.
Oh, how great! Hope I win.
I love repurposing things, I’ve done it all my life and I always enjoy getting new ideas from others.
Thanks!
I would like to see more repurposing projects. How can I use an old sheet or T-shirt in a new way? Or how about those burp clothes left over from the days of infancy? I want to reuse instead of fill up a landfill!
Anything Christmas-related would be great too, especially ideas for easy-to-make (but cute) projects for coworkers. I often make 20+ gifts for coworkers and am always looking for something unique!
Thanks, Dana

Alas, I too was out of luck for registering for your workshop! This would be so cool! For the Future more repurposed wool projects would be great.

I read you always!

Hello,
I wondered if you could include something on using felted wool to make rugs. My Gran made several and I remember them being unusual and colorful or layers of the same color hue in very subtle and blended lines. The rugs were not very thick but never rolled or skittered around the floor when stepped on…my Mother and Gran are both gone now, I have no idea how the rugs were made but if you know, could you include that in a class? Your site is one of my favorite hangouts.
Thanks for so much inspiration…I can no longer go to the thrift stores without checking out the sweaters!
I’d so like to win. I just love your book Sewing Green and actually just posted a the cute stuffed doggie project on my blog.
As for what I’d like to see in the workshop, or in a future workshop, ideas about what to do with scrap fabrics and felted pieces. Your scarf photo immediately gave me a bunch of ideas about what to do with those sweater edges! Thanks.
You are such an inspiration to a novice sewer like myself. I can’t wait to explore all your new green sewing projects.
Thanks, Abbie
Thanks for asking our opinions. I’d love to see more uses for felt, especially kid gifts. And Christmas gifts that aren’t “Christmasy” (can be used yearround). Anything that uses recycled materials is appreciated.
I wanted so badly to sign up for your workshop but it’s just not in my budget. I would love the chance to participate! I like repurposing projects and a spring/summer theme would be great! Basic ideas for those who only have the basic tools would also be great. I’m not as interested in needle felting because I don’t have the tools.
My email is mishajoymcshaneatgmail.com
Thanks!
I would love to win this give-a-way!
While I love a good repurposing tutorial, I think a workshop on needle felting would be incredibly beneficial. I struggle with this method and I am sure others could use the help too!
Thanks for the opportunity to win!
So exciting! This is probably the best give-away I’ve seen. Love the idea of the online workshop. LOVE it!
Upcoming workshops? I’d love to see something that we can do with the kids. Maybe some repurposing projects making toys? Anything that we could sit down and do with the little ones would be really fun.
Thanks for the opportunity!
-Dawn (dawn(at)outoftheboxcalifornia.com)
I have to say that I like the repurposing ideas.
There are so many things that, if given directions and an idea, can be recycled.
I love the sharing of ideas..I have two of your books and the repurposed ideas…WOW some things I would have never thought of. In fact, I look at things a bit differently when I am in the second hand stores.
Lately I have been recycling old cotton mattress pads…they take a coffee stain really well.
[email protected]
Thank you for the chance to win a workshop spot……isn’t technology great….sometimes! (In this case, YES!
Hello, I am Monica from Milan Italy
I’d like you to propose other work with felt.
win this giveaway would be wonderful….
See you soon.

hiya 🙂
i wud luv 2 b entered 4 this giveaway. the course looks fantstic and being able to create xmas presents cheaply wud help me no end at the moment.
as t future courses, i wud say repurposing, or recycling as i do a lot of that myself, and under the current economic climate and with environment issues increasing in size, it wud be better for everyone to reuse rather than use more resource 🙂
What a great giveaway! I didn’t get signed up in time either – what a great idea!
As far as projects – like lots of others, I always love recycled projects and anything that is a useful everyday item that I can make and have it be cute/pretty as well!
WOW WHAT A GREAT OPPORTUNITY. LIKE THE OTHERS, I COULDN’T BELIEVE THAT IT SOLD OUT SO QUICKLY.- A TESTAMENT TO YOUR TALENT. I LIKE SMALL PROJECTS- FLOWERS, PIN CUSHIONS- THINGS THAT ARE QUICK. NO NEEDLE FELTING FOR ME THOUGH.
I didn’t find out about the workshop until it was closed, so I would love a spot!
I hope to participate in your next workshop. I am really interested in needle felting right now…But I’m new to everything “felting” so my interests are wide. I just finished a mini-messenger bag, your little stuffed bird and a cupcake to send along to my niece who lives across the country. I purchased your book, “Warm Fuzzies” and I am completely inspired, already owning a big felted stash! LOL!
Oh what an opportunity! As for the workshop to come repurposable projects are nevere enough I suppose, maybe Spring themed. I love your work
I would love to do something different with needle felting! I have loads of scrap wool sweaters lying around that need to be used up!
Pick me before my husband throws out all of my supplies! The bits and pieces and WIP’s are taking over the basement and I need to show him that I can do something with all this! Any and all upcycled projects would be great.
Seeing how I have about 100 wool sweaters in my sewing room, I would love more recycled wool projects. I have been itching to try needle felting too.
Hi!!!!… Give away are so exciting ^__^
I want to learn needle felting accesories…I’m working in textile accesories…
XOXO
Glad your virtual workshop did so well so quickly! I love holiday projects and repurposing is always great as well.
Just found your site today..very lovely, i would love to see some christmas ideas or gift ideas, like big stockings or santa’s for an online class. the online class–what a great idea.
thanks [email protected]
Thanks for the chance to win! I would love a felting workshop, any kind of felting. I just love everything about it! Thanks.
I would love to participate in the workshop! Upcoming workshop ideas? – Definitely more recycled felting projects! I’m working on another sweater blanket now for my husband, but would love to branch out into something else. Thanks for the give-away!
As happened with others I didn’t sign up in time and would love the opportunity to sign up now. I would love to see another class like this one but also I have started to get into needle felting and find that all the info I get get about it is the same old stuff and same old projects so if there were new things that would be fantastic.
Thanks for the chance to win!
I’ve just recently started working with felt but would love christmas and other holiday felting workshops.
Thanks again

Hi Betz!!!!
I’m from Barcelona in Spain and I’d like to be part of this workshop.
I would like to find more work soon felt, and some work into decorating my craft room.
thanks for the chance
Míriam

wow, I’d love the chance to win a spot. I love your book sewing green and how most of the porjects don’t require new fabric, so I’d b e interested in a course along those lines.
oh my heck! is this a wreath? if so, i must have one!
I love anything that involves repurposing thrifted wool sweaters.
And if you wanna tell me how to make that wreath, that would be good too 🙂
Yea! A contest…what could be better than a chance to learn for free! Thanks for the opportunity…I would love to see more recycled felting projects using the old sweaters etc…loads of inspiration…thanks…[email protected]
Like many others, I am kicking myself for not registering fsster for your class. I’ve got my fingers crossed that maybe I will be the lucky winner. I love small projects especially pincushions and flowers but then also love cupcakes. Guess I love anything made with felted materials!!
I would love a spot in the workshop!
I’d also love to see another workshop focusing on repurposing…I can never seem to think of anything beyond cutting up clothes for fabric.
Thanks!
I’m hoping I win!
I would love to see a future class on repurposing items. I have enjoyed all that I have done so far.
But, of course, I’m really really hoping to win this one – I think this is one of the only crafts I’ve never tried and think it would be quite neat to do so – everything looks right up my alley!
Betz,
As always, you rock! A holiday workshop, what a great idea.
In the future I’d love to see a little more felted…jewelry! It could be recycled, needle-felted, whatever!
Thanks for the contest…

Like so many others, I was sad to have missed out on the registration, one more chance!!!!
I am just getting into felting, especially old and thrifted sweaters, and I already have little scraps that I just can’t throw away, as far as future it would be great to have ideas for these scraps. Thanks for again!!
i am all about holiday madness, and the felt and recycled wool is what I’m looking for.
I was SO bummed that you sold out so quickly by the time I saw your newsletter in my old inbox (must update my email address!). I would SO love to participate. Personally, I love making wall-hanging type woolly things…seasonal decor and the like. I just haven’t quite made the leap into clothing yet. Fingers are crossed!!!!
Eeep! Thanks so much for the chance – I totally missed out on your workshop!
I would love to see more clothing projects – the skirt in your latest book is my favorite! Thanks!!
I would have to say that repurposing projects are ones I really like. I still have outgrown cargo pants set aside to make a bag.
so nice of you to offer this giveaway…I really love your repurposing projects.
I would like to see repurposing of childrens clothes that are too small or worn out. For example, I have probably 15-20 pairs of jean/pants that my girls have worn out the knees (both) and they still fit every where else. I feel bad giving them away when they can’t really be worn for the purpose of long pants and don’t want to throw them out since there is some good use to them although I know not what.
Repurposing in general would be helpful. When I need to be, I just can’t come up with a creative idea if my life depended on it.
Hope I win
[email protected] is where I am at.
What a thoughtful idea. Like many people I love the repurposing. Since your first book I have gathered wool blankets and sweaters. Such fun. I love the simple gift ideas. Thank you for the chance.
what a great idea! I have never taken an on line workshop but would love to play in one!!
i would have to say my focus is on getting things ready for the holidays and always i am trying to repurpose/recycle items, both for cost and the environment!
moonhonu@yahoo(dot)com
Hi Betz
What a fantastic idea – I love the thought that crafters from all round the world can join in! I recently went to a crafting night at Sydney’s Museum of Contemporary Art, it was so restorative to be able to ‘drop the everyday’ and just be creative, even for a night. What would I like in upcoming workshops ??? A surprise! To stretch our imaginations and creativity !!!
Mel
Recycling or upcycling it has to be. The joy of resuscitating and recreating old textiles, woollens, trims etc fills me with pure love. Where else would they end up – landfills – how sad. Even more joyful is to recreate from someone elses handiwork. It’s paying homage to the women [and men] who worked on projects many moons ago -often with little time and poor lighting.
Mary
Thanks so much for doing the giveaway!
I am currently obsessed with making all things out of felt! So I would love a workshop with more ideas on using felt. But I do love the idea of repurposing.
I was sooooo disappointed the workshop was full when I went to sign up.
Thanks for the last chance to join.
I would love to see a workshop on cute felts for spring
What a lovely giveaway, please enter me to it!
As far as future workshops, I think more repurposing projects would be great.
Thanks,
Veronica
Here’s my chance! Pick me!
I’d love to see what else can be done with felted sweaters, I’ve got such a collection now I need some more ideas! Thanks for offering up one more spot!
It would be wonderful to win a spot. However, with so many fans vying for this great opportunity, it might not be possible, but I still follow your great ideas and projects with interest. I am always interested in recycling… especially wooly things.
many thanks for inspiring us worldwide.
OOOOOOH!!! I’d love to win a spot on your workshop! I was going to sign up, and next think I know, it’s sold out…boohoo! I would love to see more wool felting projects, as I’ve been stock-piling wool sweaters from the thrift store!! I have my fingers crossed in hopes of winning!! CHEERS!
Hi
Pick me. I love the pic..full of soft colorful wool. I’d love to see projects on toys made of felted wool.
Thanks
Hand up, waiving excitedly. Next step–sign up for the newsletter to get a chance for the next one. Would love to see ideas for repurposing more readily available materials—how about men’s shirts? Lots of 100% cotton shirts of fabulous quality to be found. I am pounding the payment for vintage sheets and wool sweaters but hard to find!
THANKS FOR THE CHANCE TO WIN A SPOT SINCE I WAS TOO LATE TO REGISTER. I WOULD LOVE TO SEE IDEAS FOR GIFTS AND MAYBE SOME JEWELRY! [email protected]
Thank you so much for offering a space in your workshop as a giveaway. Incredibly generous and much appreciated.
A repurposing projects workshop would be fantastic.
Have a great day! =]
Hi! I’d love to win a spot in your workshop- it filled up so fast!!!
I guess I’d be interested in a recycled felting workshop in the future, but maybe you could just re-do this one- it seems like you have tons of interest from those of us who are missing it!
thanks!
[email protected]
(amy)
I’d love to be in on the workshop. For future ones, I’d love to learn needle felting.
More spaces for your workshop would be great. Holiday themed workshops…Valentines, Halloween, Christmas….Missed this one! I was prepping for a craft show and missed out…boo
Angie

“I’ll sign up in the morning,” I told myself…defeated once again by procrastination! I would LOVE to be able to be part of this workshop, as well as any future ones on needle felting. I’m too intimidated to go it alone.
Like everyone else,I would dearly love a spot in your workshop.
As for what projects I would like to see, I don’t mind, I love all of your work, so would be happy with anything, but saying that my pile of felted jumpers is growing & still haven’t done much with them yet.
Thanks for the opportunity.
I’d love to be part of your workshop. I’m so sad I missed the sign up.
I think the holiday gifts is a great idea for a workshop, but I would probably join any other time of the year as well. I never get tired of felted sweater projects, and I like needle felting as embellishment. I’d also love to see some preview pictures as hints of what to expect in the workshop and a list of supplies ahead of time (sometimes it takes me a while to find sweaters in the right colors, etc.)
jacquelineoneill at gmail dot com
I would like very much to be chosen for the free workshop. I am a teacher and don’t make boatloads of money. I love felt and making things with my hands. Thanks in advance! ~Ida
This is so up my alley….wool, felting, felted wool, woolies….whatever…they’re my “drug of choice”….I LOVE it…and would love to win your workshop. I’d like to see more recycling projects….
Blessings,
Spencer
http://www.bellamerecottage.blogspot.com
I also missed the boat, but would love a second chance. As for future classes- repurposing!
I would love to win this special spot in your online workshop, Betz!
It would be nice to see a workshop to make a sampler wallhanging of various three dimensional techniques using felt.
I’d like to see some fun projects for spring. After crafting like a maniac for Christmas, I’m usually lacking in inspiration for spring.
[email protected]
I was so set to register for your workshop – and it was full! I would love to win this one – and if not, will know to act faster next time! I would love to see a workshop on needlefelting and/or felt applique (pillows, etc.) Thanks!
This sounds delightful! I’d love to see more repurposing projects; it’s been my kick lately!
I would be very appreciative if you would add my name to your Workshop Giveaway. How fun that would be!
Thanks & Stay Cozy, Carrie
Oh this looks absolutely wonderful! I love your ideas! I’d be interested in any repurposing workshops you offer in the future. Thanks for this last minute chance.
[email protected]
oh, Please enter me also for the workshop free spot. I missed the sign up too 🙁
I’d love to see more repurposing ideas; seems to be all the rage and I love shopping at the thrift store for great finds and reusing things in not-so-conventional ways
thanks

I would love to win a workshop spot. I love your felting projects but would also enjoy a workshop on repurposing. I found a WWII era book on repurposing and am truly intrigued!
I am totally new to the felting thing, but I love Christmas stuff, so any Christmas craft/ornament/decoration/activity I would love! I am excited to learn something new!
[email protected]
Thank you for a chance to get in this workshop. I am still “kicking” myself for not signing up the minute I got the newsletter!
As far as future workshops…do this again in November through December. Would love Christmas gift ideas.
I love working with repurposed wool and felt. Also, your books are wonderful. I have them both and love them.
Lana, Scottsboro, AL
I have some background with textiles from tropical South America and since we moved to Canada I enjoy reading about your projects. I borrowed your Warm Fuzzies book few times from the public library and it really helped to improve my vocabulary, especially when I’m searching for materials to create handmade felted things. I’d love to participate in your workshop and learn more about felts for different seasons.
[email protected]. Muchas Gracias for doing the giveaway.
I am a sucker for repurposing projects! And I would love love to win a spot!
Hi wonderful Betz!
Our daughter is due to be a first time Mom in January…yea for becoming a Grandma!!! I would like to see more felted kids clothes…loved the robot sweater and jumpers from a while back! How about more girlie appliques and toys? Like a felted dollhouse or something? With little critter play figures for the house included?
I look forward for more information about learning how to crochet. I really want to learn how so I can teach my daughter. I also want to learn more about quilting.
It would be cool to win.
Thanks,
Melissa B.
So excited by the chance to win a spot in your workshop, was so bummed that it was SOLD OUT. I’d love a class in how to make a patchwork blanket out of old sweaters. Looking forward to more workshops!
Nancy

I’ve started collecting woollen jumpers from the op-shop, but I don’t know what to do with them yet. Thanks!
I would love to be included in the drawing. I am new to needle felting. I also have a huge pile of thrifted sweaters screaming to have something creative done with them. PS I love all things christmas.
Thanks Sarah T
Please pick me – it’s just too awesome!
I’d love to see more recycled felting incorporating needle felting, as I just got a kit and am testing techniques.
not.a.ship(at)gmail.com
i wanna win the spot!!!
i’m very much interested in christmas crafts, felt crafts (3D plushies) and playing around with fabric pieces.. tips and ideas would be great!
Oh, it would be so very tasty to win the give-away! I kept holding out til payday to sign up for the workshop and MISSED it! (tragedy!) I do hope you’ll come back around to the mysterious + lovely applique technique you alluded to in January (way back when you had a bird on a three-toned pillow-Jan. 9, to be exact). I’d love to see a workshop on that technique, even if it hasn’t fully evolved yet-I’ve been waiting all year for more on it!
Cheers! [email protected]

Actually, I’m just started to join in to your followers line but I do like to see some recycled felting & Repurposing projects.
Thanks for this wonderful place, you have make my life’s better.
I am so bummed that I heard about your workshop too late. What a great way to teach us all at the same time. Maybe I will win this last spot. We are going to attempt handmade christmas this year…
I would love more ideas about repurposing and recycling things we already have into usable gifts.
Just found your blog and am looking for repurposing ideas.
Thanks for the give-away!

oh my goodness! we all want in! i’d especially like a ‘finishing details’ class. for recycled felt or non-felt woolens. i am never sure when to hem or bind or whatever. needle felting onto recycled sweater felt/unfelt would also rock. thank you!
I’d love to try this workshop. I just found your blog, but I welcome any recycle-repurpose workshops.
Hi! I would love to get your candy!
I vote for recycling projects.
tykhova(at)yahoo.com
Hello! Thanks for this giveaway! I would LOVE to win!! I have just started collecting wool sweaters after doing some felting from knitting last winter. I would love to see more wearable ideas! The girls’ jumper is so cute!! Thank you!
I would love to win a space in your workshop, thanks for the chance. I was too late signing up! I’m always interested in repurposing ideas. Thanks for all the great inspiration!!

uf so many people… but i will try my luck!
sorry for my english im from slovenia 🙂
love your wor. its hard for me to give you the master of art ideas 🙂
i think they come with season. now its awtome and i thinkc its a very creative time. good luck!
Thanks for hosting this giveaway! Hope I’m the lucky number picked 🙂 I would love to see a workshop on recycled felting with kids, possibly with a spring/summer theme in mind… I think many of us crafty mama’s have children that love to craft with us – I know my 7 & 9 yr olds love to craft and they’re always looking for something new to try. I love the idea that your projects use some many recycled materials. This not only makes crafting more affordable but reinforces the importances in using what’s already out there – an important message to be shared with our children.
Hope we win a spot – we’re really interested in making some ornaments for our tree! Thanks.
More on recycled felting since recycled felting is my fave I think…So yes, a themed recycled felt workshop for Easter is great…but Valentine’s day we wouldn’t have to wait as long.
Fingers crossed, hope I win!
I waited too long to sign up for the class, so I would love to win this spot! Not sure about an idea for a future class since I really have no experience with felt. Just looking forward to learning!
Hi there, I am so mad at myself for not registering in time. I put it off due to funds, UGH!!!! Perish the thought:( Anyway, now I’m out of luck unless I’m the lucky winner so I won’t be making that mistake again.
As far as future classes, I love, love, LOVE all your re-purposing ideas and would like to see more (fabric, thrift finds, and felt any and all are good). I craft with my daughter and am trying to teach her to reuse things instead of always consuming new.
thanks so much…..
Would so love this! I can’t believe that I missed out on signing up. Thanks for the chance!
~heather ([email protected])
I would love to take the workshop if given the chance!
I love the repurposing of materials and maybe add in ways to use things like towels?
I’m enjoying working my way through your books!
Stephanie R.
Dang, this would be fun! I have a hard time making *time* to make things….a class structure like this would help.
And, I need to email to you a photo of the bag I started in Sheboygan at the Kohler museum workshop…you’ll be stunned at how well it turned out, once I was on my own machine and found even more great materials.

I would love to take the workshop.
I love your blog and the your new line of fabric. I would like to see more repurposing of materials ( old finds, thift store… ) I would like to learn more about needle felting. Thanks for a great giveaway. I hope I have the chance
to take one of your classes soon…
Thanks for offering the giveaway Betz! No extra cash at the moment for crafting classes, so I would love to WIN one! In the future, I would say repurposing classes would be great for me! THanks, Debbie
Great giveaway! I’d love to win. For future classes I would say repurposing projects. Repurosing is all the rage these days.
I’ve sent out a tweet about your giveaway!

Oooooh! I’ve just started to gather felted wool sweaters & make handbags, but would like to find some different types of accessories to recycle them into. I’m planning on selling them online & could use any tips & inspiration 🙂

I would love to see some projects that use old clothes, wool and otherwise. I have a pile just waiting to use. The workshop looks very fun.
Thanks so much for offering a giveaway! I hope you’ll pick me!
I’d love to see a future workshop focused on small, portable projects (for when we’re waiting in the car for the kids to get out of school, finish sports practice, etc). I’m imagining that there would be basic shapes or what have your that could be stitched on the go, then once all the pieces are done, they’d be assembled into something fabulous that you show us. I’m always looking for on-the-go things to have with me, other than my hand-held yahtzee game! LOL!
Marilyn
Thanks so much for the second chance!
*my fingers are crossed!*
How about a sewing workshop. I’d love to see how to make your darling little bags and pouches- I’m especially thinking about how to sew in a zipper correctly.
Thanks again!
Megan in AZ
I would love to win! I’m a big fan and learning from you would be a pleasure!
Count me in on the ~GIVEAWAY~!
I would love to learn more about needle felting.
I would like to be able to make an art doll from it! Or….reconstructing clothing with it! Maybe you can help me.
Thanks for the chance to be included!
hi – I didn’t sign up fast enough and missed out. I would enjoy repurposing projects, gift ideas, and holiday themed projects (Halloween, Birthday, Valentine’s are favorites). I also would love to be able to buy a kit with some of your awesome supplies in addition to the online workshop fee as well.

HI,
LOVE your site, book and inspiring ideas.
More re use projects are always fun.
How bout one I can do with my daughters Girl Scout troop.
Wow what a great site, I love all kinds of felting, needle, wet, and nuno etc. I am always looking for new ideas.
I would love to take part in a workshop.
Oh, I would be tickled pink to win!
For future workshops I would really enjoy projects that are useful in some way – around the home, clothing etc.
gisele
Hey! I would love to win a spot on your course. I think it would be great to see some ways to repurpose things, I make toys from socks and I’m sure there are many other items out there that would make great textile projects!!
Best of luck with the course!
This would be great! I just got into working with wool felt, and I am totally enraptured with it. I would love some ideas of just the basics of using wool felt, so that I can apply the knowledge to my own further adventures – basics with using it to accesorize clothing and bags perhaps, using it in art pieces and craft pieces. And, how to make it myself out of re-purposed materials.
Thanks!

So sad that I missed your class sign up! I am a Mom of three so I enjoy projects that are quick and easy. I need instant gratification!
This workshop sounds so neat. I had the page open in a tab to show to my husband before registering, and then it was full. Next time, I’ll just decide :o) So, I would love to win a spot. I’d love to see more ideas for wool felt and recycled/repurposed items – even though I’m having a heck of a time finding sweaters for felting here (maybe too hot in Atlanta for wool?) Christmas or winter projects would be great as would spring ideas – apparel, decorations, jewelry – I’m up for anything! Thanks for giving us a chance to win a spot.
Thanks for giving me another chance! I just ordered your book yesterday and love everything you do with bright colors. This is just what I need to practice the new found creative side of my life. I can’t wait. Repurposing-nests, birds, cupcakes! What could be more fun?!

I just bought your book because this class was full and I thought I’d just check out some of your patterns and such. But a giveaway is even better.
I really like the online class idea. That’s great, anything you choose would be a blast to make and super cute.:)
Thanks for the opportunity, Betz!
I would enjoy repurposed projects, clothing… as well I would enjoy gift ideas and felting jewelry.
Have a nice week!

I tried to sign up for the workshop, but was too late. Thanks for the chance to win a chance to participate. I would be interested in any recycle or repurpose workshops.

Oh, my, I would love to win. Other onlines? Anything with felt–just can’t get enough.
Carol
Woohoo! I’m so bummed I missed out on signing up. Silly weekly budgets and whatnot. Anyhoo, a clever repurpose gets my heart a pumpin and my hands a craftin’. From the look of things you may have a new career in online workshops! Best! ([email protected])

Ooh, I would love to win a spot! I’d love to see some more projects for babies since that is where my focus is lately 🙂
More workshops if you can do them…Thank you so much….such an inspiration
I have never taken an on line class before.
An although I sew , quilt and do crafts I have not done much with wool or felt
but would love to do both
I would love, love, love to participate in your class. I am a beginner in the felting world and this class sounds like the perfect introduction! Thanks for this chance.
I like the idea of smaller prodjects that I could involve my kids in and I am a big fan of taking the old to make something new.
Thank you for this opportunity, your shop is a dream for me, especially your organic print canvans .. beautiful .. but send in Italy?
However, I’d love to see your blog projects in fabric or felt, and especially how to work the felt.
Fingers crossed for extraction.
Thanks again
cocinelle
I’d LOVE to participate in your online workshop. REcycled felting projects are right up my alley – something on the primitive side would be delicious! Hope I’m your lucky winner!
Ooh, pick me! I have three wee ones and getting crafting done in a timely manner is hard. To be on a schedule with other people – that’s what I need!
I would like to see more repurposing projects – both in reusing materials AND what to do with them when the project is finished! I love to craft with my kids but buying a ton of supplies adds up (we craft 3-4 days each week) and we never know what to do with all the treasures we make.
Contact me: [email protected]
THANKS! JEN
My old sweaters that are not wool are so sad and lonely… I love repurposing, and would especially like to see more ideas for my old cotton/blended fiber sweaters.
Thanks for all of your inspiration!

I’d be interested in a workshop about different seasons — maybe some small projects repurposing materials with ideas for spring, summer, fall, winter themes.
I wasnt even going to enter seeing the number of other entries BUT I cant let it pass for a try! I would LOVE to see more repuposing.Especially as fall has hit and winter is right around the corner. maybe mittens,or slippers? Anything to make one feel warm and cozy…
Thanks for a chance to get into your workshop – I was too late to get in at the beginning! Would love to see more workshops on repurposing, too, since that seems to be a common thread among my customers these days!

I would love to win a spot in your workshop! I meant to sign up and delayed just one day and *bam*…I missed it. Yay for second chances! I like the seasons workshop idea. Thanks for the opportunity. I’m at [email protected] if I am the lucky chosen one 🙂

What a generous giveaway! In upcoming workshops i would love to see ideas of things to make for/with children. I also have an enormous bin of felted sweaters so i would love some more repurposing ideas for those.

I love the idea of online classes…you’r revolutionary. I would love ideas that use needle felting and repurposing items that we have around the house..sheets, old jeans, kids clothes…that sort of thing. Thanks for the chance to win a spot in your class.
I would love to see projects with recycled felt. I just became interested in this over the past month or two- Warm Fuzzies is first book I purchased (which then led me to this site). My daughter and I have already been busy searching through not only our closets for sweaters we no longer use but also have been searching resale stores for wool items. In fact, we have decided to use some of dad’s shirts that were set aside for donation for the lining of the purses we made!
I was excited when I read about the workshop, but when I returned to sign up, it was closed. Hoping I get picked…good luck to everyone!!
sshaina (at) ameritech (dot) net
I’d love to see more repurposed projects that used knits. old tshirts are a dime a dozen, literally.
I would love to win the spot in the class, but shesh there are a lot of comments above me.
Wow, what a great oportunity! Thanks for your generosity. I’d love to take part on your workshop. I’d like to see more ideas on environmentally friendly projects. All the best, Luciana
Oh how sad I was when I checked into your online workshop …registration was closed! So very sad! Perhaps I’ll be the lucky winner and won’t be so sad anymore!
Ideas …well there are just too many to mention. I love everything you do …needle felt work, recycled felting, holiday ideas and projects.
Well, I could just go on and on!
I do hope I’m the lucky winner!
I might be too late as I’m not sure what time it is EST. Never the less your felting is inspiring. I would love to see a project for arm warmers or any cute toddler clothes.

A giveaway?? How fun!! Count me in for sure! I was bummed I missed out, but I’m happy to hear you will be offering another class in the future. I would love another recycled felting course & any sewing machine pointers (special needles, machine settings, etc) for sewing on felt would be greatly appreciated
Your creations are lovely! I like to see felt, especially for kid gifts and Christmas gifts.
Thank you for this opportunties!
Hello Betz
I am so delighted to see that you are kindly offering another chance to take part in the workshop. The children & I are just recovering from swine flu, so your kind offer has made my day!
Maybe an idea for an upcoming workshop is recycled felting/repurposing felting for a younger audience – with that I mean those trendy teenagers/students. My teenage daughter and son are always interested in the various sewing/craft projects that I attempt to do, but sometimes I feel they aren’t trendy enough for them. Maybe they need a “hip and trendy” factor!
Hope these ramblings are of some help
I guess the chances of me getting picked are tiny, still I’d like to answer your questions, as it might bring you inspiration for a whole new bunch of ideas…..that in the end we all benefit from!
I love the wreath, I’m trying to imaging it with cream, reds and greens….it will be lovely! Or maybe pink-ish and reds for springseason, when the fruittrees will blossom.
In an upcoming workshop or book I would like to see spring theme, flowery things, little things to make as a gift for friends and loved-ones. I definately love needle felting as well, maybe that could help? I love the colours that you use, they are allways nice and bright and positive! So I hope there’ll be more of that!
I’ll be following online!
love,
Heidiakkers a g mail dot com

Yes, I would definitely love a spot in your workshop! I think that a workshop in repurposing stuff would be amazing!
I would love to see a needle felting workshop. I so enjoy needle felting but feel like there is more to learn than what I’ve picked up on my own.
Hi,
I’m following your blog for about two month irregularely – and every time I’m missing your announcements. Hopefully EST is later than central european time… I would really love to join this workshop
For upcoming workshops I would like to see useful things like bags or clothing-accessoires. I really loved your variation of the perfect pouch!
Bye Tine

I’d love, love, love to be a part of the workshop! I’m financially challenged and these projects sound very doable on my budget.
