knit-WIP

Ok guys, after all of your super helpful and supportive knitting comments, I'm back at it. This is the start of my second (ok, third!) attempt at the Shalom Cardi. With some new yarn and the help of my new Squam pal, Laura, I am on my way.

Good golly this yarn is delicious. If I could eat it, I bet it would taste like cinnamon or nutmeg or curry or hazelnut or maybe all of them mixed together somehow. It is called Esperanza from Schaefer Yarn, color: Julia Child. Hmmm, no wonder the color reminds me of flavors! I'm knitting in the evenings while my husband and I catch up on old episodes of LOST on Hulu. That show is like a drug, I had no idea! Hope it doesn't screw up my gauge, sometimes those shows make me tense. We are only part way through season 2, so don't tell me anything! No spoilers, please!

P.S. Don't worry about the fate of the first attempt at this sweater. I have a tall friend I intend to gift it to!

Betz I just got Sewing Green and I am soo glad to have it! We have similar concepts of crafting and I am just thrilled with it. I plan to make most of the projects, actually. :-)

I just had to laugh since I just caught up on every episode of Lost offered on Hulu! I'd never watched it on TV. I work at a craft studio and the owner is doing the same thing. It is like a drug! They really need to get the whole 5th season up, I got hats to knit!

Love the yarn! So very pretty! You will have to show how it turns out. It looks like a very nice pattern.

That yarn is gorgeous, you're right. And you're also right about Lost. Peter and I watched 3 seasons of it either last summer or the summer before and it was crazy, we were tempted to put the kids to bed early every night so we could watch 3 episodes instead of 2!

I'm glad to hear you're hooked on a show too; Clay and I watch Heroes like addicts! I feel so silly, but we get so excited about it. It's the only show we watch and it's our guilty pleasure:)
