Amtrak and a nap

We’ve been away for a few days. Spring Break has begun for the boys and we decided to take them to New York City for the first time. We rode the Megabus from DC to NYC (double decker, top floor, front window seat thank-you-very-much). We stayed with my brother, sister-in-law, and niece in Jersey City. We took in as much as we possibly could in a few days: American Museum of Natural History, Central Park, Empire State Building, 9/11 Memorial, Grand Central Station, St. Patrick’s Cathedral, Rockefeller Center, Lego Store, Times Square, Ellis Island, Statue of Liberty and more! We had sun and rain, saw friends and family, ate NY pizza and Indian food, and rode in every mode of ground transportation possible…ending with Amtrak from Penn Station back to DC’s Union Station, DC Metro and cab ride!

So, what will we do for the rest of Spring Break? It’ll be hard to beat all that…but boy does it feel good to be home!
